The little things

We're slowly getting back to normality, here, at Howard's House.

Little Man is back at school….YEAR 1…eeek!!  I'm trying to get the house into some semblance of order…although with a snotty Tiny person (and my complete lack of tidy genes) it's not getting far.

Much to my husbands annoyance (I'm still giggling like a little schoolgirl every time I get to refer to Tom as "husband") I seem to have the ability to ignore the clutter in most instances.  I can see why it annoys him, as I hate it too.  I just seem to be far better at ignoring it and looking at the tidy-ish parts.

I love my home and how dotted about there are reminders of my family.

::A wonderful portrait of the whole family commissioned by a fantastic artist.

::Everyday moments, like making a cup of tea.

::…and always having company from the man of the house.

::Our sparse little garden's visitors.

Smile, It's a wedding

On the 7th September, all of the hard work and planning paid off when Tom and I got married.

I can't thank the people that helped me enough.  Without my father and step-mum I'm not sure I could have begun to plan the wedding.  My mother, who did all of the flowers for the marquee.  N&C who lent us their beautiful garden, orchards, woods and barn as the venue.  That place means so much to me, so to spend our wedding there meant so much.  My maid-of-honour, Susie, who sewed dresses with me, and took three days off work so we could bake all of the cake.  My mum's OH who not only was our photographer, but also played in his jazz band, on the lawn.  All of my family and friends who helped me set up, looked after children/Tom/Howard, tied me into my dress, was a shoulder to cry on…

So…much…help…!

But instead of going on and on, how about I just shut up and show you some pictures.  They're not in order, and they were all taken by guests.

If you don't like weddings then I'm very sorry and please look away now.
